Code Reddit Scholarship Fund
The Code Reddit Scholarship Fund, a partnership between Hackbright and Reddit, aims to provide greater access for women to attend Hackbright’s bootcamp programs and become software engineers. The mission of this fund is to empower more women to gain the skills to enter the industry and change the ratio for women in tech. With Code Reddit, engineering students at Hackbright will award $5K, $10K, and full-ride scholarships to our Software Engineering Programs.
Scholarship Criteria Rules
These new scholarships reflect Reddit’s and Hackbright’s shared mission to improve equality in tech for underrepresented groups. Scholarships will be awarded based on a variety of criteria, including, but not limited to: need, technical expertise, and belonging to part of a group that has been historically underrepresented in STEM (ex. Black, LatinX, American Indian, LGBTQ+, and/or people with disabilities).
It is the mission of Hackbright to #changetheratio of women in tech. Since 2012, Hackbright Academy has graduated 700+ women with the skills to be software engineers, and our goal is to train more women faster. If you’ve wanted to transition into software engineering, now is the time.
