Sometimes it can be difficult for women to receive the same opportunities and consideration when it comes to working in the tech industry. And for those who don’t fit the “heteronormal” mold, it can be even more difficult.

Well, good news! Hackbright and Lesbians Who Tech are partnering to give you one partial scholarship (valued at $5,000) for our upcoming Immersive Software Engineering Program or Part-Time Software Engineering Program!

What is Lesbians Who Tech?

Lesbians Who Tech is the most expansive LGBTQ technology community in the world. Hosting tech-centered lesbian events (such as leadership programs, career fairs and the famous San Fransisco summit, which sees an annual attendance of ~5000 people), Lesbians Who Tech is committed to building a supportive and inclusive community of non-binary, LGBTQ women, trans and nonbinary individuals, and queer women of color in or around tech. This focus makes Lesbians Who Tech the perfect Hackbright partner.

Since 2012, Hackbright Academy has graduated 600+ women with coding and computer science skills to be software engineers, and our goal is to train more women faster. If you’ve wanted to transition into software engineering, now is the time!
