Years ago, Meggie soul-searchingly parted with studies in social cognition and feminist theory to become a software engineer. After spending time as an internal tools software engineer, she is now a classroom director at Hackbright.

After receiving his Physics PhD from Harvard, he joined and co-founded a startup, where he learned to program. He has worked as a data scientist and software engineer for several years. Henry is a former mentor at Hackbright and had so much fun that he decided to do it full-time!

After graduating from UC, Berkeley, she spent 10 years teaching both in the Bay Area and abroad but ultimately felt she needed a new challenge. After an engineer friend suggested she try programming, she was quickly hooked. Kristine is a recent Hackbright grad who loves watching other students learn as much at Hackbright as she did!

Originally from Calexico, she found her passion for programming through her work teaching underserved populations how to code. She received her BA in Sociology and Education: Applied Psychology from UCSB and spent a decade working with at-risk youth in disadvantaged areas.
