Meaningful Mentoring

Each student in the Software Engineering Program is matched with two software engineers at leading tech companies. The mentors who come to us are very passionate about helping underrepresented genders excel in tech, making them a wonderful resource. You’ll meet once a week starting week three to gain guidance and confidence, receive feedback on projects, and get the direction you need to flourish throughout the program.

CAREER DEVELOPMENT TEAM

We know our brave students risk a lot by giving up their jobs and diving into our full-time Software Engineering Program.

We try to make the transition go as well as possible with our Career Development team—a group of former recruiters or other individuals skilled in helping you polish up your resume, get ready for a big interview, or negotiate a salary. In addition to regularly scheduled lectures and events, they are available for questions, advice, or a chat as needed.

The program that the career development team set up for us at Hackbright helped me understand what it was I wanted out of a company in my first engineering role, and I couldn't be happier with the decision. I'm loving Gusto and have found myself really at home."

I think Hackbright is doing the exact thing the software industry needs to rectify the extreme imbalance in gender diversity. Some of the most influential pioneers of software engineering were women, and it's wild to read about them then look at the disparity in the modern industry. I hope I can be a sounding board and provide necessary insight to intelligent women who are trying to change the way that we all think about software.
