Women in technology lack access to role models and mentors, and they tend to be excluded from informal networks critical to career advancement.
Mentoring has been recognized as an effective practice to increase the representation of women in tech. Mentorship provides invaluable relationships that help boost confidence in the students. The time commitment for mentorship is 1 hour a week through the 3-month Hackbright fellowship program.
Our engineering fellows value the chance to connect with experienced mentors – working software engineers, CTOs, engineering managers, data scientists and machine learning specialists!
