Ideal for students who cannot come to campus because of family or health reasons.
A great option for people who have the discipline to log in each day and take accountability for their own learning.
A good option for those who will be proactive about reaching out to instructors or mentors if they are struggling or if they have feedback.
Will work well for people who have access to a strong internet connection and a computer with a webcam. (Feel free to reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org if you don’t.)
An alternative for those who might prefer an in-person option, but who do not want to put their lives on hold until quarantine or social distancing recommendations are lifted.
WHO SHOULD ENROLL IN OUR REMOTE COURSES
At Hackbright we believe the best way to learn code quickly is to immerse yourself (mentally and physically) into a world where you eat, sleep, and breathe code, and we first and foremost recommend our in-person courses. However, we also realize for some people at some times, in-person simply isn’t an option.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT OUR REMOTE COURSES
Just because these bootcamps are remote doesn’t mean they aren’t challenging. This isn’t watching a bunch of videos while you check social media on your phone. In our remote classes, you will still cover all of the content taught in our immersive, in-person courses, and it will still take a lot of work to change your life by learning a new skill. (But the work is worth it. Trust us.)
Lectures will be delivered live, in real-time. You will go to your virtual classroom each morning and attendance will be taken.
You will have real-time access to instructors, career services, and mentors via chat or teleconference, and you will be expected to participate.
The Software Engineering Full-Time course is Monday through Friday, 10 A.M. to 6 P.M. (PST), for twelve weeks.
The Software Engineering Prep course will meet on Tuesday and Thursday 6:30 P.M. to 9 P.M. (PST), and during the day on Saturday 10 A.M. to 1 P.M. (PST), for five weeks.
Financing is available for the remote Software Engineering Full-Time courses.
Hackbright Academy strives to provide the best possible experience for students in the program and beyond.

Software Engineer @ Gametime United
"I knew I wanted to be in a place where I'd feel empowered, where the quality of instruction was really high, and where I could practice both self-care and ownership over my learning experience. Hackbright's environment made that possible for me."
Melissa S, Hackbright alumna
Software Engineer @ Lever
"The most important thing Hackbright taught me is how to learn. The curriculum teaches you how to build a web app from scratch, but more importantly, how to continue iterating on that app, introduce new technologies, and progress even after you graduate."
Tammie K, Hackbright alumna
Software Engineer @ Uber
When I was learning to code on my own, I didn’t always get the full context of what I was trying to learn. At Hackbright, I was able to get to the heart of each problem, and the high number of TAs available for questions meant that I was able to get personal attention during lab exercises."
