TGIF: HBD to 2 Very Important Women in Tech History

TGIF! Learning to code is a valuable skill – and one that many of our generation learn in our adult or professional lives. But for today’s youth, learning basic coding is becoming a more common feature of the curriculum.

Check back at the end of each week for our Friday finds. Here’s what we’re reading – November 30.

What will you create?

Hour of Code is just one of the ways kids today are learning to program. Started in 2013, as a hour-long introduction to computer science, this global event aims to demystify programming and show that anyone can learn the basics.

Now, every year in early December, events are held worldwide during Computer Science Education Week from December 3-9. Code.org, the organization responsible for launching Hour of Code partners with a number of companies and nonprofits to provide materials, space, and resources to help kids across the world learn the fundamentals of computer science and coding.
